Historical Concise Studies On Cinnabar

The traditional Chinese medicine rescues the human body because of its bias. As the important expression of TCM theory, the herb can achieve the purpose of curing the sickness to save the patient.This paper take the application of cinnabar history as the research object, with the application and toxic of cinnabar as cut-in point, explores the use of cinnabar comprehensively and objectively in different historical periods, and analyzes its evolution causes by TCM theory.We can get that our knowledge in the function and toxic of cinnabar is different in different historical periods from the application of cinnabar history. The distinction even not totally depends on the understanding of cinnabar itself, but also depends on many factors. Such as:the evolution of TCM theory, the perfection of the theory of the medicinal flavour, the expansion of the practice of prescription compatibility, the difference of the source of the drug, etc., those are closely related with the changes of function and toxic of cinnabar. It also shows that the theoretical system of TCM in TCM produced and developing has played a pivotal role, therefore, we should pay attention to the existence of TCM theoretical system in the modernization research of traditional Chinese medicine.
