The cytotoxic effect of anticancer drugs was examined by MTT methods and apoptosis of pancreatic cancer cell was examined by PI coloration.Results The RF of SW1990/Gem group which is resistant to Gemcitabine was 4.70, Meanwhile in Gemcitabine with Tetrandrine group, it descended to 1.69. This revealed that Tetrandrine have reversal effect on multidrug resistance in Human pancreatic cancer cell SW1990/Gem. On 12h,18h,24h, we examined the apoptosis of Tet/GEM group,GEM group and control group, the difference was distinct. This revealed that Tetrandrine with Gemcitabine can help to produce apoptosis in multidrug resistance human pancreatic cancer cell.Conclusion The combined application of Western medicine, significant improvement in clinical remission of pancreatic cancer and survival.
