Analysizing The Cases With Ovarian Steroid Cell Tumor And Reviewing Of The Literatures

Objective To study the clinical characteristics, diagnosis,treatment and prognosis of ovarian steroid cell tumor.Methods A retrospective analysis of 4 patients diagnosed with ovarian steroid cell tumor in the Zhejiang University attached clothing Maternity hospital between 2000 and 2010 was performed.Results In this 4 patients, age structure from 21-67, the median is 38, all of these are benign (4/4 case), with long duration range from 4 months to 15 years. Patients were asymptomatic pelvic mass(2/4 case), followed by irregular vaginal bleeding(1/4 case), and High androgen performance,virilism(1/4 case). All patients have transvaginal ultrasonography before surgery, half of them can not find abnormality(2/4 case),Benign patients have simple salpingo-oophorectomy, with rather favourable prognosis, two of them were alive, with the follow-up time interval. Conclusions Ovarian steroid cell tumor has a low morbidity, can happen at any age women, most of which are benign, with common performance of pelvic piece. the disease with rather favourable prognosis, benign patients can be cured by through the operation,...
