Deep Resection Of Meningioma Beside Cerebral Falx In 21 Cases

Objective:To summary of deep brain falx meningioma methods and experience of surgical treatment of falx meningioma in the microsurgical treatment methods to improve the therapeutic effect of falx meningioma. Methods From July 2006 to June-2010 June, 21 cases'meningiomas in the falx brain wereresected in addition to blocking artery with silvern clamp, controlled hypotension orpreoperatively embolizing blood vessel. Larger tumors were resected piece by piece and removed at a time as possible. Results: According to Simpson's resection degree,19 cases were treated with resection of gradeⅠ-Ⅱ, one-third of the cases, including the lone death.. Conclusion Microsurgical technique can obviously increase tumor total removal and avoid recurrence and other severe complications.
