| As an independent subspecies, the Qinling giant pandas population is far less than othersubspecies. For the protection of giant pandas and genetic diversity and etc, it's important toestablish the Qinling giant panda population captivity and carry out research work includingfeed and breeding, wild return and etc.In the research center, daily feeding, physical and medical training were involved,regularity and activity rule of captive giant pandas were observed, the current feeding andmanagement and existing problems were summarized to make some advice. It's valuable forfurther development of the Qinling giant pandas conservation research work to protect giantpandas in our country.The objects of investigation were the four Qinling giant pandas in the research center, forthe current situation of feeding and management, the following problems were put forward:There are serious population health problems in captive giant pandas, part of which havestereotypic behavior and allotriophagic behavior, and false pregnancy phenomenon.Owing to the limited and unchanging living environment, simple feeding way, the giantpandas only perform some rigid behavior, such as ingestion, excretion and etc. But someelastic behavior is limited.According to the above problems, which proposes some suggestions:Changing traditional environment to establish half natural environment; Using untimeunfixed feeding method; Accroding to the individual age, gender and body condition, toadjust to different food constructure; Implementation of targeted physical and medicaltraining; Doing veterinary management work for giant pandas. |
