Vitis. Yunnan The Wild Resource Surveys And Vitaceae System Studies

Abstract/Summary:
Yunnan province which located in low latitude, higher altitude, is one of the good regions for the wild grapes distribution. Wild grape resource has the adaptability to local environment and many excellent quality characteristics for new wine grape resource development. Wild grapes recorded in Flora in Yunnan province were ten species. But no systematically survey has been done. In this study, wild grape resources in partial regions of Yunnan province have been surveyed, and by using the selected wild grape plant, a wild grape resource germplasm repository has been set up. At the same time, the systematics of vitaceae was also discussed. Main findings are as follows:1. Partial of the wild grape genetic resources in Yunnan is collected and preserved. Wild grape in8districts, covered over22counties of Yunnan province has been investigated. More than200eco-types were collected in totally, which were identified into five species in Vitaceae:Vitis heyneana, Vitis biyoniaefolia, Vitis betulifolia, Vitis bellula, Vitis davidii. By using the selected wild grape materials, the first wild grape genetic resource repository in Yunnan was set up.2. Wild grape genetic resources could be conserved by Tissue Culture. The best conditions for tissue cultured stem tip propagation were:MS salts with0.01-0.05mg/L NAA and1mg/L6-BA.3. Cuttage propagation was used to conserve the wild grape germplasm resources. Branches were soaked overnight with75-100mg/L NAA solution. Older branches with two or more bud points have more chances to survive.4. Phylogenetic analyses based on chloroplast Trn-F gene sequences reveal that Vitaceae can be divided into five branches:the Leea clade, Parthenocissus-Yua clade, Ampelopsis-Clematicissus-Rhoicissus clade, Cayratia-Tetrastigma-Cyphostemma clade and the Cissus-Ampelocissus-Vitis-Nothocissus-Pterisanthes clade.
