Ginkgo biloba, called living fossil by people, is one of the oldest relicts in existing Gymnosperms. It's taken as treasure all over it, and is specifically rich in China as economic plants. As it takes Ginkgo biloba20-30years to bear fruits and males and females have different functions, to distinguish its sex at an early age is not only theoretically important, but also economically beneficial. However, the mechanism to distinguish the sex of G. biloba is not very clear.Employing unpaired allosome micro-isolation, micro-clone techniques, forty-two single chromosome libraries are set up; Stimulus is designed to clone6molecular-marked gene related with the sex of G. biloba from their genome,3male and3female., dot-blot hybridization technique, single chromosome libraries concerning the sex of G. biloca is identified on the level of DNA. They are all very significant in distinguishing the sex of G. biloca in early age, genetic breeding and positioning gene.
