In this study, taking 7 respresentative nursery bases in Changsha Corridor as research object, the status, existing problems, causes and countermeasures of soil quality of nusery seeding were analyzed, as well as the soil fertility quality and soil environmental quality were integrated evaluated. All these were aimed for the maintaining and improvement of soil quality and soil environmente, and scientific basis for the sustainable developmen of the resources and environment of nusery seeding. The main results were as below:(1) As predecessor of the most of nursery bases were long-terem paddy field or dry ceopland, the soil of nursery was porous and fertility and had a good structure. (2) The soil of nursery was heavy in texyure, rich in clay particle content, and low in amplitude of soil bulk density, but soil desiccated in perennial nursery. The soil porosity between 50% to 60%, and the soil was porous.(3) The pH value ranged from 4.5 to 6.5, that presented an acidification trend. The results of integrated evaluation of soil fertility showed that, the soil fertility of most nurserys maintained high level, that suitable for seeding planting. But, the unbalanced soil fertility such as poor in soil organic matter and nitrogen while rich in phosphorus and potassium had became the mian problem in nursery seeding.(4) The results of evaluation with comprehensive pollution index method showed that, the mean of omprehensive pollution index of soil heavy metals was 0.970,which belongs to the field(0.7<P≤1) of security, and it did not influence the seeding planting. But, because of the content of soil Cd at a high level in most nursery weeding, we should pay more attention to the soil pollution which come form exogenous Cd in the future.(5) Finally, some countermeasures about the improvement of soil physical and phemical properties and prevention of soil heavy metal pollution were put forward, such as properly apply organic fertilizer, alkaline matter and carefully apply chemical produts and so on.
