Sweet sorghum is one of the important energy plants in the worlds. Strong resistance, high biomass, wide range of applications has received wide attention. An renewable greenenergy development have an important meaning for solving the energy crisis. Application ofstrong resistance of varieties of sweet sorghum is the most effective way to improve the yieldof Sweet Sorghum. And the application of physiological and biochemical approach toselection of resistance variety is good to improve the yield is important assure. Theexperiment on the selected materials for the determination of physiological index, therebyselecting good varieties, And choose from some of the varieties of salt treatment, therebydetermining the different salt concentrations, variation of some physiological indexes, thusstudy of salt stress on Physiological Indexes of sweet sorghum. Thus for the production onthe use of physiological methods of breeding strong resistance varieties provideadvantageous basis.1. This study investigated the activity of SOD, POD, CAT, PPO and the content of MDAin different sweet sorghum seedlings. The results showed that SOD in seedling stage andmature period with higher activity, the activity of POD was increased with the normal growth. The activity of CAT in seedling and jointing stage were higher than heading and mature stage. The activity of PPO was decreased with normal growth. Compared with the jointing andheading stage, The content of MDA in seedling and mature stage were higher. Compare withthe other sweet sorghum, LiaotianNo.1, LiaotianNo.2, LiaotianNo.3, LiaotianNo.4of LiaoSweet show that have the highest physiological index, which suggested that the LiaotianNo.1, LiaotianNo.2, LiaotianNo.3, LiaotianNo.4of Liao Sweet may be a good candidate to be acultivar in agricultural production.2. This study investigated the effects of different concentrations of NaCl (0,50,100, and150mmol/L) on antioxidative enzymes activity including superoxide dismutase (SOD),peroxidase (POD) and catalase (CAT), and the content of malondialdehyde (MDA) in sweetsorghum seedlings. The results showed that the activities of SOD,POD and CAT wereincreased in plants exposed to50mmol/L NaCl compared to control, while the activities ofthese3enzymes were inhibited at100and150mmol/L NaCl. All tested concentrations ofNaCl resulted in lipid peroxidation as indicated by MDA formation with a dose-effectivenessrelationship. With the increase of salts, the content of chlorophyll was decreased. The NaCl stress was different among the four sweet sorghums, with the most tolerance occurring inLiaotianNo.1, as shown by the highest antioxidative enzyme activity and the content ofchlorophyll and the lowest MDA accumulation, which suggested that the LiaotianNo.1maybe a good candidate to be a cultivar in agricultural production.3. The analysis use of SSR molecular markers technique in LiaotianNo.1andLiaotianNo.3with the NaCl concentration at50mmol/L. The results showed that, from8pairs of primers of Xcup53in only in the distant LiaotianNo.1170bp differences appeared inthe strip, some genes control the distant LiaotianNo.1resistance genes.
