The Survey Of Rhubarb Resources In Guyuan County And Its Geographical Distribution

Rheum L. is an extremely important genus of Polygonaceae, and one of the most important medicine of specialty. The feature of it is cold, the taste of it is bitter, it can eliminate intra-abdominal stagnation and recover spleen and stomach function, reduce body fire and remove body toxins, and dredge meridians. Therefore it can be widely used in medicines, health, food, cosmetics and other fields with increasing social needs every year. Planting Rhubarb not only benefit internal restructuring of agriculture, but also increase farmers'income. In this paper, writer has conducted a survey of Rheum resources in Gu Yuan county of Ning Xia hui Autonomous Region, which is four kinds of Rhubarb planted in this area, including Rheum palmatumL. Rheum tanguticum Maxim. Ex Bal.,Rheum tanguticum var.liupanshanense C.Y.Cheng et.C.T Kao and Rheum hotaoense C.Y.Cheng et.C.T Kao, recorded level distribution law, vertical distribution range and ecological characteristics of Rheum L in Gu Yuan, investigated current status of the development and utilization on Rheum L.'s resources. The paper also points out strengthening resources protection, rational development and utilization,enlarging and establishment of Rhubarb with high quality as commercial resources for existing problems,it is suggested that we should establish cultivated and domesticated base, promote high-yield cultivated techniques in order to achieve effective protection and sustained using of this important resources.
