Canine Acute Pancreatisis is one kind of clinical internal diseases which may cause an adverse effect on canine; This disease usually develops very fast with a short course, and has severe clinical symptoms, and be hard to be cured. Some cases could die from this disease. Also some other cases may recur again and again, especially when the treatment was delayed because lack of precise diagnosis and then this disease turns into chronic or subchronic disease. In this case, even chronic or subchronic pancreatisis won't kill the dog, but it can cause the dog suffering from recurrences again and again, and meanwhile bring a lot of troubles to the owners. So it is very important to find a fast and precise method to diagnose canine acute pancreatisis. This experience based on the specificity, sensitivity and fidelity of Canine Pancreatic Lipase (cPL) on diagnosing Canine Acute Pancreatisis (CAP), the specifical Canine Pancreatic Lipase (cPL) were recombinated and its antibody cPL-AB-N against New Zealand rabbits and antibody cPL-AB-A against American rabbits were obtained. An ELISA testing Kit to test the concentration of Canine Pancreatic Lipase (cPL) was set up base on these materials. And the validation of the ELISA testing Kit by the standard solutions which contain Canine Pancreatic Lipase (cPL) was done, the result of this experience showed that the testing curve was as same as the standard curve. Then a normal reference range of Canine Pancreatic Lipase (cPL) was set up based on the serum concentration of 40 health dogs, all test results of samples except sample 39 (the test result of which was much higher than normal reference range) were with in the published normal reference range, so the same normal reference range as the published normal reference range 2.2-119.2μg.L-1 were chosen. This normal reference range provides a necessary standard for applying double Sandwich ELISA testing Kit into Clinical use. At last, the double anti-body Sandwich ELISA testing Kit and the normal reference range were used to test 40 serum samples of the dogs which were highly suspected to have canine acute pancreatisis, except the test result of one sample was within the normal reference range, all the test results of other 39 samples were higher than the maximal limit of the normal reference range. The results of 24 samples were higher than 150.0μg.L-1, even four of them were higher than 200μg.L-1, the results of some even twice higher than the maximal limit of the normal reference range. Base on these elevated results, the canine pancreatisis diagnosis were more comfirmed by the test results and also the clinical symptoms. This study provides a very fast and precise method for the clinical diagnosis. This study showed that it's an excute, simple and fast method to diagnose Canine Pancreatisis by using ELISA testing Kit to measure the concentration of Canine Serum Pancreatic Lipase (cPL). This method is worth to apply on Veterinary Clincal Medicine.
