Different Priming Rice Seedling Cold Tolerance And The Aging Of The Rice Seed Germination

Seed priming can avoid the cold injury for seedling and improve theseedling establisment. Seed priming can improve aged japanica rice seed germination. Five japanica varieties Wangyangdao, Hongmangshajing,345hao, Cbao and Xiushui79 which naturally aged for three years were primed by three different materials chitosan, sand and PEG. The seed vigor traits and physiological characteristics were investigated by five japanica varieties. The result showed the priming treatment for aged seed could prohibt the leakage of cell, significantly improve the germination ability, germination rate and the POD activity, reduce the content of MDA. The significant priming effect were exited in three primer. The best priming effect was used chitosan, the second was sand. Two Heilongjiang varieties longjingl6 and sanjiang 3hao, two tai lake varieties Cbao and Xiushui79 which were primed by three different materials chitosan, sand and PEG. Seeds were germianted afer cold treatment for 144h, The seed vigor traits and physiological characteristics were investigated by five japanica varieties. The result showed the priming treatment for colded seed significantly improve the germination ability, germination rate, seedling heigth and the SOD activity, POD activity, reduce the content of MDA. The significant priming effect were exited in three primer. The best priming effect was used PEG, the second was chitosan.
