Effects Of BS-12 Modification On The Growth Of Wheat In Cd²⁺ Polluted Soil

This study has researched on the biomass of wheat,Physiology and biochemistry index and the influence on the contents of Cd²⁺ under the BS-12 to Cd²⁺ through the use of hydroponics and pot experiment on the foundation work of predecessor initially. the main conclutions of research were as follows:1.In the experiment of hydroponics, the germination of Wheat seeds was promoted under the low concentration, germination rate and germination index were all improving, with the increase of the concentration of Cd²⁺,the germination was inhibited when the concentration of Cd²⁺ above 10mg/L. and BS-12 has no influence on germination rate. the influence of BS-12 on the germination of wheat is quite different with single Cd²⁺, which is fringed by the concentration of 10mg/L. when BS-12 was added to the Cd²⁺ treating fluid,BS-12 showed a little influence on the germination of wheat seeds with the stress of the low concentration of Cd²⁺,while the inhibition would be exacerbated by BS-12 under a high concentration of Cd²⁺,and the germination rate and germination index would drop remarkably at this time.2.In the experiment of hydroponics, the change of the gowth of wheat seedling is roughly the same under the treat of Cd²⁺and BS-12 respectively. fringed by 10mg/L, when the concentration of Cd²⁺ or BS-12 less than it, the wheat was promoted, the length of roots and buds and the contents of chlorophyll were all improving. while the gowth of wheat would be inhibited, length of roots and buds and the contents of chlorophyll would drop, and the contents of MDA and proline were improving with the increase of the concentration of Cd²⁺ or BS-12.if the wheat seedling was treat with Cd²⁺ and BS-12 together, there would be as the same influence as wheat seedling was treat with Cd²⁺ and BS-12 respectively in a low concentration. whist the harm of Cd²⁺ to wheat seedling would be exacerbated a with the high concentration of Cd²⁺ and low concentration of BS-12,and the length of roots and buds and the contents of chlorophyll would decrease, the contents of MDA and proline would be improving.3.In the experiment of pot, when the concentration of Cd²⁺ in the soil were 5,10 and 50mg/kg or the proportion of BS-12 were 0.1% CEC and 0.5%CEC, the growth of wheat were promoted, the length of roots and buds,the contents of chlorophyll and the activity of SOD were all improving, while the gowth of wheat seedling was inhibited as the the concentration of Cd²⁺ in the soil were 50,100,300 and 500mg/kg or the proportion of BS-12 were 1%CEC and 5%CEC.4.In the experiment of pot, in the condition of the coexistence of BS-12 and Cd²⁺,the length of stem and root and the contents of chlorophyll would increase, the activity of SOD and the contents of MDA and proline would decrease if 0.1% CEC of BS-12 was added to the soil polluted by Cd²⁺, the BS-12 ease the harm of Cd²⁺ to wheat at this time. while the harm of Cd²⁺ to wheat would be exacerbated, the length of stem and root and the contents of chlorophyll would drop, the activity of SOD and the contents of MDA and proline would increase when 0.5% CEC of BS-12 was added to the soil polluted by Cd²⁺. if the concentration of BS-12 reached 1% and 5%, all the index would drop, and the wheat could not grow normally. with the increase of proprotion of BS-12 added to the soil polluted by Cd²⁺,the contents of Cd²⁺ in wheat would decrease, and the distribution of Cd²⁺ in wheat was unchanging, the content of Cd²⁺ in the underground part outweigh that of overground part.5.the BS-12 was added to the soil polluted by Cd²⁺ could fix the Cd²⁺ in the soil, decrease the absorption of which, if the proportion of added BS-12 is suitable,BS-12 could not only fix the Cd²⁺ in the soil, but also prevent its transmission from soil to plant, and do not cause harm to plant.
