Study On Weatherability Of Cork And Its Main Products

Abstract/Summary:
Cork is extensively used for its unique excellent performance and cork's weatherability is considered to be an important capability when people mention it. Weatherability is the durability of complex service environment conditions. The material durability is better, the longer it can be used in outdoor. In this dissertation, weatherability of cork and its main products is studied, as well as the effect of experimental parameters. The aim of this experiment is established theoretic for improving the weatherability of cork and its main products and optimizing the products'technology.The results are as follows:1. The cork particles have not significant effect on cork agglomerate material; the rubber particles have significant effect on various performances of cork rubber products; the isocyanate coating have significant effect on the density and The Hunter Whiteness of cork floor; the chemical composition of cork has significant effect on its various performances.2. The density of cork rubber products decreased most, when the irradiation time is 4h or 8h, the maximum descends values are 143 kg/m~3and160kg/m~3 respectively, the descends percentage are 14.8% and16.6% respectively; and then followed by cork agglomerate material and cork; the least one is cork floor and the descends values are 34kg/m~3and44kg/m~3, the descends percentage are 7.5% and 9.7% respectively.3. The Hunter Whiteness of cork decreased most, when the irradiation time is 4h or 8h, the maximum descends values are 7.49 and 9.22 respectively, the descends percentage are 17.0% and 22.0% respectively; and then followed by c cork rubber products, the descends values are 7.28 and 8.19 respectively, the descends percentage are 29.8% and 33.5% respectively; the average descends value of cork agglomeration material is slightly low than cork rubber products; the least one is cork floor and the descends values are 3.48 and 4.65, the descends percentage are 10.0% and11.8% respectively when the irradiation time is 4h or 8h.4. The compression ratio of cork rubber products ascended most, when the irradiation time is 4h or 8h, the maximum ascends values are 7.28% and 8.19% respectively, the descends percentage are 37.1% and 40.9% respectively; the cork particle is smaller, the upswing value of the cork agglomeration material'compression rate is bigger; the upswing value of cork floor is between 10 particle cork agglomeration material and 20 particle cork agglomeration material; the least one is cork and the descends values are 2.44% and 2.90%, the descends percentage are 25.4% and 30.1% respectively, when the irradiation time is 4h or 8h.5. The resilient rate of cork rubber products decreased most, when the irradiation time is 4h or 8h, the maximum descends values are 19.51% and 19.96% respectively, the descends percentage are 32.2% and 32.9% respectively; the cork particle is smaller, the decreasing value of the cork agglomeration material'resilient rate is bigger; the decreasing values of cork floor and 10 particle cork agglomeration material are approximate equality; the least one is cork and the descends values are 6.59% and 7.39%, the descends percentage are 8.8% and10.0% respectively, when the irradiation time is 4h or 8h; all the specimens'resilient rate is above 60% except cork rubber products.6. The breaking strength of cork rubber products decreased most, when the irradiation time is 4h or 8h, the maximum descends values are 0.335MPa and 0.431MP respectively, the descends percentage are 13.2% and16.9% respectively; the cork particle is smaller, the decreasing value of the cork agglomeration material'resilient rate is smaller; the upswing values of cork floor and 10 particle cork agglomeration material are approximate equality; the least one is cork and the descends values are 0.253MPa and 0.285MPa, the descends percentage are 19.8% and 22.3%respectively ,when the irradiation time is 4h or 8h.7. When the test time is the same, the decreasing rate of specimens'density, Hunter Whiteness, compression ratio, resilient rate and breaking strength which exposure test 8h is higher than that is exposure test 4h.
