| One of the hinge measures to increase crop yield in stresses is to improve water use efficiency (WUE),which is close related Water channel proteins (aquaporins, AQP) Exploring the relationship between the expressions of TIP3.1, TIP2a, TIP2b and WUE in waxy maize under adversity stress and studying the relationship between maize AQP and WUE is significant for the enhancing of high drought resistance and water saving ability of maize. Differences of leaf WUE (WUEL),Per-plant WUE (PWUE) and the aquaporin gene expression in Zea Maize Sinensis( shan white waxy 11,zhong waxy 1, jingke waxy 2000) were tested under different stress conditions as follows: low nitrogen (0.5N), high nitrogen (1.5N), drought (PEG) and salt (NaCl) in this paper. Expressions of three AQPs genes in the roots of waxy maize were tested by the method of RT-PCR.They are responsible for the regulation of plant water uptake and transport. There are many researches on AQP functions of water transportation, but the study on the relationship between AQPs and water use efficiency (WUE) is rarely reported. Research report of the relationship between maize AQP and WUE is not seen yet. Studying the relationship between maize AQP and WUE is significant for the enhancing of high drought resistance and water saving ability of maize.The main results are as follows:1. TIP3.1,TIP2a,TIP2b gene belongs to the TIP gene subfamily which exits mainly in plant Tonoplast membranes. There are different expressions in various organs of maize, they are largely expressed in root, The expressions of the three genes of TIP2a, TIP2b and TIP3.1 are induced by nitrogen, drought and salt stress.2. WUE maybe reduced by drought, nutrition and salt adversity conditions, however, WUE can increas by mild stress.3. The expressions of AQPs gene had the important conrrelation with the regulation of WUEL and PWUE, These results indicate that WUE is particularly concerned with the control of expressions of TIPs in transcription. 4. The expression of TIP2a, TIP2b, TIP3.1 genes is closely related with the rates of transpiration,photosynthesis and to water consumption5. The expressions of TIP2a, TIP2b, TIP3.1 genes have significant differences in the adversity intimidation processing among shan white waxy 11, zhong waxy 1 and jingke waxy 2000.6. There exists significant relationship between WUE and nutrient utilization efficiency (NUE)7. Fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method, which can be more than any product coefficient, comprehensive analysis and comparison, is expressed intuitive simple. |
