Research of Bt transgenic Populus nigra is funded by the national science funds in 1993. This research is an advanced achievement mend by microbial institute of the Chinese academy of sciences and forestry research institute of China's forestry science research institute. This variety had good resistance to insect sex. Biological safety testing results of Bt transgenic Populus nigra determine the doubtful for the commercialization promotion. The effects of Bt transgenic Populus nigra on soil microorganism is a very important aspect. In this paper, Bt transgenic Populus nigra and Populus nigra were elected as test materials. PCR analysis of exogenous genes was carried on. We used two methods to assessment of the influence of Bt transgenic Populus nigra on microbial system were carried on. One is cultivating soil microbial, the other one is cultivating 5 species of microbial using the medium which has the powder of fallen. The main research results are as follows:1. The Bt gene stabled in the Bt transgenic Populus nigra.2. In the soil of Bt transgenic Populus nigra and Populus nigra forest, the number of bacterium sum is the most, the number of fungi is the second and the number of actinomyces is the last. The numbers of the three species of microbes were changed in different months.3. Contrasted and analyzed the microorganism numbers of transgenic group and the non- transgenic group, the results showed that the Bt transgenic Populus nigra was not impacted on the soil microbial system.4. Appropriate irradiation dose of the powder of fallen leaves is 1kGy.5. There were no significant differences on the five kinds of training microbes between transgenic group and the non- transgenic group. Bt transgenic Populus nigra have on influence on the forest soil microbial system.
