Colibacillosis in geese is an local or systemic infection disease, which caused by pathogenic E.coli entirely or partly. Now, most research data about APEC are from chicken, so far, the study of pathogenic properties is rare.Collected tissue samples of geese suspectedly died of E. coli infection, such as heart, lung, kidney and so on, in some areas of Heilongjiang Province, then isolated E. coli from the samples. Through morphology and biochemical tests, 61 strains of E. coli were identified in total. Then, we did susceptibility tests, pathogenicity tests, and the local goose serotype identification of Escherichia Coli serotypes advantage of cross-protection. The results indicated that the isolates showed different degrees of drug resistance. The most extensively used inhibitions such as gentamicin, ampicillin, nor floxacin are weak, while tobramycin, tetracycline and amikacin have no effect on these separation strains. Pioneer cefotaxime, Fortum and ceftriaxone, the drug resistance rate of which is less than 33%, can be a good candidate for clinical used.At the same time, the strains derived were pathogenic. Serotype identification results showed that 58 strains identified belonged to 21 serotypes, except the three ones which couldn't self-curing stereotype. Mixed serotypes, O8&O60, O13&O14, O18&O158 and O101&O162, were first isolated in the goose, and had not been reported. O9, O18, O64, O93 were a total of 32 strains, and the four serotypes distributed in Heilongjiang Province widely, and were the dominant serotypes. With pathogenicity test, we picked highly pathogenic E.coli in dominant serotypes to doing cross-protection. The result show that dominant serotypes in the region between E. coli did not cross-protection. Single-serotype immunity had no effect, so we recommended to protect by the local dominant serotype multivalent vaccine.
