Object:Cotton is an important economic crop in Xinjiang, China. Irrigation is the biggest challenge that effect agricultural production. Transgenic cotton, breed with the modern method of genetic engineering, can solve the effect of irrigation water demand. But the variety, breed with genetic engineering, face a serious challenge that is genetically modified variety's effect on ecology environment. In this study, some of the existing technology and methods was used to investigate the transgenic cotton and control cotton, in order to make sure if it is affect the environment.Methods:Compared agronomic traits of the control and transgenic cotton, in different drought treatment, in order to make sure whether the gene affecting agronomic traits of cotton. Using SPAD 502 measuring the health condition of cotton in different period, to indicate the affection of chlorophyll and nitrogen uptake by transgenic; using Dual PAM 100 measuring different traits of the top leaf, in order to analyses if the transgenic cotton affect the photosynthetic system. At the same time, investigate the weeds and frequency of the bee, observing whether the genetically modified cotton has affect on the ecological environment.Results:The transgenic cotton has affect agronomic traits of cotton, but compare with the control it hasn't reach the significant difference level. But it has great impact on health and the organic production of photosynthetic systems, the transgenic cotton yield significant more than the control in the same drought treatment. The weeds and bee meet flower frequency don't have significant difference in short period, during long period if had significant difference need more study. The bee's meet flower frequency is very small, can't affect the pollination, in the genetic drift can be negligible.Conclusion:All in all, transgenic cotton wouldn't affect the ecological environment in short period, but it can significant improve drought resistance and cotton yield.
