Preparation Of Duck Immunogbulin Of Yolk Against Goose Parvovirus

Goose parvovirus Infection was caused by Goose parvovirus, it lead young goslings and muscovy ducklings under the age from 3 to 25 day old to death. The disease has fast infected, high incidence and high fatality, which induced acute or subacute septic infections and the characterization of infection was severe diarrhea. GPV is an important infectious disease hazards in goose industry.Disease prevention and control of goose parvovirus was mainly focusing on prevention, the specific antiserum is the traditional biological agents, and egg yolk antibody (Immunogbulin of yolk, IgY) was developed in recent ayears as another new antibodies including chemically stable, high yield, low cost, more suitable for development of specific antibodies. At present, the yolk antibody was extracted from laying hens and ducks, and ducks are closer with geese in aspects of phylogeny, anatomy and molecular structure. So developing of duck egg yolk against goose parvovirus is important to provide antibody biological agents.Laying ducks were immunized with GPV 98E strains. Yolk antibodies from duck were extracted and purified by water dilution-sodium sulfate method from duck yolk after harvesting duck eggs and separating egg yolk. AGP titer, content and yield were determined. Prevention and treatment were determined among young goslings without maternal antibodies. Experimental results showed that specific antibodies of high levels appear quickly after ducks was immunized with lived GPV from goose's embryo. The AGP titer of the purified yolk antibodies from duck was 1:32, and content was 81.6%, and the sum of protein was 6.01mg/mL. The fatality of young goslings was 0% in preventive test ,and the fatality of young goslings injected antibodies in preventive test dosis was 59% in treatment test. The results of significance test showed that the antibodies from duck yolk have valid preventive effect and appropriate treatment effect on goslings infected with GPV.
