To achieve digital visualization of modern forestry management, stand growth model include stand growth simulation, and spatial distribution pattern simulation by differentiation of tree and by self thinning. In the early, plantation is usually uniform distribution by the planting. In the process of the differentiation of tree and self thinning, it is developing to the aggregate from the uniform of the spatial distribution. Therefore, forest 3D visualization based on the forest growth simulation and spatial distribution simulation of the plantation. It is analysed of the change of the competitiveness of tree, change of the spatial distribution pattern and "the close nature" by the neighborhood comparison, neighborhood pattern and mingling. With the forest stand density control tables for the Cryptomeria fortune plantations by growth model, to achieve the simulation of the growth process of the tree, include:change of the stand density, timber size and morphology. Then, to achieve the 3D visualization of the Cryptomeria fortune plantations by the 3D model of the Cryptomeria fortune (OnyxTree 6.0) and the data of the GIS(TIN/DEM) in the ArcScene. All conclusions can be summarized as follows:1. It is built for the model of the DBH (Diameter at Breast Height) and H (height) use the Logistic equation, and more DBH-CWA, P-P', then calculate the max-density of the forestry. On the end, to build the forest stand density control tables for the Cryptomeria fortune plantations. According to the density control tables and the thinning period and Thinning Intensity, thinning for the 4 plots and Analysis of forest spatial pattern changes.2. By thinning, it is raised to 0.520 from 0.506 which the average values of the neighborhood comparison for the 4 plots,2.8% increased. But, it remained moderately of the degree of the competition after thinning. It is because that the smaller diameter trees by thinned, and it creased of the competitive of the trees for keep, and it increased smaller that the neighborhood comparison for the single tree. 3. By thinning, it is raised to 0.461 from 0.409 which the average values of the neighborhood pattern for the 4 plots,12.7% increased. But, it remained of the spatial pattern after thinning. It is proved that increase the intensity of thinning, it is beneficial to improve the uniform the spatial distribution. However, it caused the stands will be not renew by self. It will be studied on the future.4. By thinning, it is raised to 0.213 from 0.189 which the average values of the mingling for the 4 plots,12.7% increased. But, it remained weakly of the degree of the spatial isolation after thinning. It is because that the very single of the distribution pattern for the Cryptomeria fortune plantations, and it remained of the mingling. It will be studied how to improve the spatial isolation of plantations by reasonably on the future.5. Forest stand growth simulation is connected with the modeling of spatial pattern, it is focus on train more woods on the traditional management of the forestry, while the spatial distribution pattern of forest stands is not very seriously. It is should be strengthened of the forest composition, structure adjustment in order to develop the Close Nature Forestry on the future.6. Forest 3D visualization. Base on the famous 3D forest model software-Onyx Tree6.0, we had modeled the main tree's 3D models, and created the forest 3D model of DEM/TIN(Grid) style library in ArcGIS, then put the points layer of the main trees over the forestland grid of the DEM, made the 3D forest models instead the trees points in ArcScene or ArcGlobe, so we can see the real 3D forests on the 3D landscape. |
