With the rapid development of science and technology, lots of flexible structuresare used in a variety of air vehicles and production equipments. This kind of flexiblestructures which are of high defection and low damping can generate continuousvibration under external force. The structural vibration is difficult to stop and easy tocause resonance, which seriously affects the Normal operation of the structure, evencauses damage to the equipment. Therefore, the vibration control over the structuresis very important.This dissertation studies vibration control problems of the flexible structure inexternal force case.On the basis of summarizing the research status and developmentstendency of the flexible cantilever beam vibration control, this paper analysis theflexible structure's vibration control problem by adopting the piezoelectric cantileveras control object. At the same time,a special method is proposed to design theflexible cantilever beam vibration controller by using the optimal control algorithm.And then, The piezoelectric actuators are used to realize active control of flexiblecantilever beam vibration. The simulation and experimental results verify theeffectiveness of the proposed control method.First of all,according to the vibration theory, we can obtain the relationshipbetween the curvature and deflection of the flexible cantilever beam, and use thedynamic-static method to establish the flexible cantilever beam vibration'sdifferential equation.At the same time, considering piezoelectric effect, this paperestablishes piezoelectric sensors and actuator equation, and introduces modal analysismethod to establish the space equation of the piezoelectric cantilever beam systemstate. Then, using the linear quadratic state regulator to control the flexible cantileverbeam, it designs an active control system of the piezoelectric cantilever beamvibration based on the optimal control algorithm. We can get the optimal controlsolution through theoretical analysis and a series of calculation, and use it to make theopen-loop and closed-loop simulation of the designed system. It discusses the choiceof weighted matrix of optimal control. Finally, we set up experimental platform toshow the designed controller can better work on cantilever beam vibration control.Experimental results show that the system vibration damping is slow by depending onits own damping in the open-loop system, but the system can obtain the good controleffect under the controls, it shows that the designed controller can achieve the expected control goals.
