Eccentrically braced frames were used to improve the seismic behavior of high-rise buildings in70's of the last century.It's a kind of reformative resistant-lateral system which is seen as the structure with good seismic behavior by international experts. The dissipative links of eccentrically braced frames reach the yield limit before other components of structure under the strong seismic force. It consume the energy of the earthquake to make sure that the brace components and beams can work normally. It provide tensility of the building to ensure the security and stability of structure. Eccentrically braced frames is a good structural style for highly seismic region.The research and use of eccentrically braced frames in our country start later than other country. Many high-rise steel structures adopt the structure style of center braced frames. More and more steel structures appear with the advanced development of economy and advancement of the design of steel structure in our country. The design code of eccentrically braced frames in our country consult AISC basically. The thesis research the relation of the length of dissipative links of high-rise steel structures and the seismic behavior of the structure, and provide the theory evidence to establish the design code.1. The thesis introduce the collocation style of the eccentrically braced frames in steel structure, the behavior, and the research at home and abroad.2. Sum up the design code at home and abroad, introduce the method of design of the component in eccentrically braced frames.3.Using the ETABS to analyse the seismic behavior of different projects in which the structure use different lengths of dissipative links according to the yiled style of dissipative links in the earthquake.4. Work out the rule between the length of dissipative links and the seismic behavior of structure according to the datas from the above-mentioned reaearch.
