With the housing economy and interior space utilization, the appearance of specially shaped column structure in the multi-layer and high-level residential building has been more and more widely. However, because of the poor ductility and seismic performance of the overall structure of the specially shaped column structure, specially shaped column structure with base isolation technology combining which can improve the seismic performance of the specially shaped column structure has been developed. It can increase the safety of the specially shaped column structure. As a result, specially shaped column structure with isolation has gradually being everyone's attention.In this paper, large finite element software ETABS and PERFORM3D has been used to establish three-dimensional linear and nonlinear finite element analysis model, which is under8degrees (0.20g), Class II soil condition in the rules of shaped column frame and specially shaped column frame structure with isolation.According to the specification requirements, we selected three waves, such as El-centro wave, Nanjing waves and Shanghai artificial wave. Then we took the linear and nonlinear time history analysis of the overall structure under multi-case, such as in some, middle, seldom occurred earthquake. Finally we got the dynamic characteristics of structure with isolation and without isolation in two different software, different seismic intensity, and different seismic waves. According to the reaction results in the different seismic intensity, contrast upper structure under different earthquake intensity shear, acceleration, displacement, stiffness and other changes, as well as within the structure energy dissipation, to make a quantitative evaluation of the overall seismic performance of the specially shaped column frame isolation structure.This paper computes the level of damping coefficient, consider the isolation efficiency of the structures in different seismic intensity(0.07g,0.2g,0.4g),and decided how to consider the issue of old and new norms on the isolation efficiencyFinally, we summarize the contents of this article, and on this basis, pointing out the inadequacies of existing research, a number of recommendations for future research.
