The overhead travelling cranes are the equipments that can realizemechanization and automation in modern industrial production, along with therapid economic development, overhead travelling cranes have been used widelyin many sectors of the national economy.Because of lifting operation is a kind of accident easy occurred job, in caseof hoisting machinery failure happen in the production process, whether tooperating personnel, or machine or production objects, all will cause great harm.Therefore, it's necessary to inspect the cranes to identify their manufacturingquality and safe operation possibility.Load test can inspect the product quality and safety performance indicatorsof hoisting machinery, such as the deformation of metal structure, the effectivestatus of the safety devices. But at present, the overload test coefficients aredifferent in different countries. To address this issue, this paper researchedcranes structural strength and stiffness reliability under different load test.First, took the conventional calculation method to calculate the structurestrength and stiffness under different load test coefficient, using finite elementanalysis to verify the correctness of the conventional calculation,throughcompare with the allowable bearing capacity of the structure, obtained a resultof structural strength and stiffness in our country, and deduced the levels ofreliability of the main beam stiffness under different test conditions.Second, Set a dynamic model of the lifting mechanism through MATLABSIMULINK. Implemented dynamic simulation for typical operating conditions,such as when the weight off the ground, brake when weight is lifting, brakewhen weight is down, etc. Analyzed the dynamic performance of the liftingmechanism through dynamic load coefficient, and obtained the relationshipbetween dynamic load coefficient and the static load test coefficient.Finally, with the crane developing towards the large-scale, the cost anddifficulty of load test will increase. For this problem, this paper put forward the idea of load test-bed.The strength and stiffness reliability conclusion drawn by these discussionwork done in this paper, have a guiding significance in the crane load test aftertoday.
