In the course of engineering construction, excavator which have thecharacteristic of strong mobility, flexible operation, higher work efficiency, hasbecome an indispensable engineering machinery. Along with the development ofscience and technology,the customers have higher requirements of the excavator ofthe strength, stiffness. And moving arm is one of the major working device of theexcavator, the design of quality directly influence the measures stem and the bucketthe capacity of mining, and then affect the organization performance of the entireworking device. Therefore, it is necessary to optimize research the boom's structure.Based on this, the paper is about the hydraulic excavator arm institutions of theproduction of the Fujian YUNXIANG engineering machinery Co., LTD,which isthe research object.The first chapter of the paper firstly introduces the developmentstatus and research present situation of the excavator, and then puts forward theexisting problems and the research object of study content.The second chapter of excavator do simple introduced including the type ofoperation modes and excavators, and based on this introduces WYL120wheelhydraulic excavator composition, working principle, the main parameters and attachexcavator2D figure; using CATIA3D modeling software establishes the known arm,pole and the bucket digital prototype model and digital prototyping model assembly,and calculated using CATIA components such as the center of gravity of the relatedparameters.The third chapter targetes to arm the structural analysis, motion analysis andstress analysis, and determines the optimization mathematical model in the optimumtarget under the conditions.By optimizing targets the oil cylinder of measures stemshorten to the shortest,all the shrinkage, moving arm and measures stem in the sameline,moving arm lifting force achieves to the maximum,and calculate mathematicalmodel with the parameters, and use of MATLAB in optimizing the toolbox calculateoptimal value.At the last set up the finite element model of moving arm after optimization,Stress analysis on moving arm in lifting to the highest position, the level positionand to lowest position of the three kinds of working conditions, and analyzes theresults of optimization.
