In this paper,based on reviewing related literature,sewer system of dong hao chong of GZ was modeled ;and optimization of monitoring points located on a certain catchment area of GZ was researched.This thesis aimed at the construction of urban sewer system hydraulic model.Firstly,the current reseach situation and application development of the urban sewer system model abroad and in home is introduced,and the theoretical basis, conception and type of urban sewer system is also described by the numbers.Secondly , the composition and principle of mathematic models and techniques of sewer system modeling are analysed in details.thirdly,InfoWorks CS 10.5 of Wallingford is used to model sewer system of donghaochong of GZ,a primary urban sewer system model has been built up and in period,and the flows of sewer system and it's factors have been analysed in a sunny day and a rainy day, Some bottlenecks of pipes have been identified, which locate on south of xinghepuchong river and east of donghochong river and are both about 6% of the sewer system, a modification suggestion is been proposed and simulated, the results prove that it is feasible.And part of outfall have been found that the water of donghaochong flow back into the sewer system while the water level of the donghaochong is 5.0m.it provide a scientific evaluation for the whole service performance and indentify the bottlenecks for the integrated urban sewer system.Finally,the monitoring points are finally optimizd from 23 to 10 which are located on a certain catchment area of GZ in order to monitor the water quality and quantity of the key node of the catchment area. Meanwhile,the consistency and significant difference of monitoring data of are been tested,it proved that the optimized 10 monitoring points can replace all of the monitoring points. A solid basis has been laid for information management of entire sewer system of GZ.
