In this paper, a type of special vehicle body in white is the main research object, the body structure is designed,the internal parts and equipments of the body are laid out,the stiffness and strength of the body are analysed, topology optimization analysis is applied in the research of this body structure,and a new body design method is also put forward.The main content and research achievements of this paper are list as follows:(1)Based on the former research on the vehicle body in white,the general process of development of the body is reviewed,and the current applied technologies of human engineering and the finite element method are discussed.(2)Depending on the combination of national and international research and experience,the body structure and layout of the internal parts and equipments of the body are designned,by using human engineering.The human body model of European and American is transformed into the model for Chinese,which is suitble for Chinese people's human characteristics.Fields of vision of driver and passengers are analyzed and verified.The principle of the driver's stretching interface is applied in analysis for passengers's manipulating convenience.The space of escape is designed and planned to ensure the personnel security of evacuation in the emergency situations.(3)The CAD model and finite element model are established for this body structure through the related software.The size of the finite element model and the control for the quality of the elements are studied in the process of building the model;the stiffness and strength of this body are analysed and verified under the bending and twisting conditions,with combining the formula calculation and finite element analysis.(4)In this paper,the topology optimization is introduced into the body design,and a new body design method is put forward accordingly.According to the general topology optimization method, a mathematical model of topology optimization is established for this body.Through computer simulation and the multi-objective topology optimization analysis,the final convergence is got as the result.According to the results of the optimization.the truss structure is set up as a new body structure.Through testing the new body structure, the testing results are significantly better than the original one, and body weight is effectively reduced.The innovation of this paper is the multi-objective topology optimization analysis for the body structure, which overcome the limitations of traditional optimization design.and presents a new body design depending on the optimal multi-state structure.
