As the matrix of heavy-duty truck, automobile frame is supporting all the relevant mechanics of sprung mass such as the engine, clutch, transmission, steering, driver's cab,and cargo box etc.The frame sustains every force and force moment of vehicles both inside and outside under poor use condition while forces are very complex.Strength to meet the use requirement is that the basic requirements of vehicle design, particularly the strength of the frame for the safe use of the car has a great influence. Frame should have sufficient stiffness, strength and enough reliability and life expectancy. Therefore,a deeper understanding of the frame's static characteristics is not only the base of vehicle structural design, improvement and lightweight, but also the key of ensuring the vehicle performance. This paper analyses the CAMC heavy trucks which are made with basing on original model adopting new technologies by CAMC factory.1,This article first road test using the method of frame analysis of the strength of typical working conditions, access to the sensitive position of strength analysis, to verify the strength of the frame meets the design requirements.2,The paper introduced a heavy-duty truck frame as a research object, the establishment of a finite element model of the frame, and then, by comparison with the real vehicle tests verify the finite element model of the frame, and Under typical operating conditions of the frame on the finite element analysis to obtain a more comprehensive analysis of frame strength. The final calculation and analysis show that the proposed modeling and analysis involved means is effective. This study shows the strength of the finite element method analysis of the frame provides a good method.
