Description Logic-Based Intelligent Fault Diagnosis Method

The intelligent fault diagnosis method based on knowledge processing is the hot point of current fault diagnosis research. The key of the method is knowledge representation and knowledge reasoning, which namely is knowledge structuring and reasoning machine using. The present knowledge representation and knowledge processing methods show some shortage in diagnosis, such as semantic logic notation and production representation, which have strong knowledge reasoning ability, however, in the complicated, fault related and stagger fault field, which lack of representation ability. The knowledge representation based on net has strong ability in knowledge representation, but it has a complexed reasoning, it is difficult to come to a diagnosis answer in a reasonable time, and these methods can't satisfy the requirements of dealing with containing knowledge and detecting logic exactness of experience knowledge at the same time.Basesd on the insufficient of the existing knowledge representation and knowledge processing in fault diagnosis,with the description logic in knowledge representation and knowledge processing showing the ability to express complex reasoning and low degree.This issue applies description logic in fault diagnosis and presents an intelligence fault diagnosis method based on description logicand application background is elevator system fault diagnosis. The primary works of this issue are as follows:1) Analyzing the relative merits of each knowledge obtaining, knowledge representation and reasoning methods in fault diagnosis at length. Targeted presenting the intelligent fault diagnosis method based on description logic.2) Representing knowledge of fault field, structuring knowledge base and reasoning utilizing description logic.3) Point to elevator system, structuring elevator fault knowledge base based on description logic and achieving inference.4) Designing and achieving the elevator fault diagnosis and safety evaluating system software. This issue will describe the logic in fault diagnosis, and utilize layering and classifying method to structure knowledge base and reason. Because of knowledge utilization is high and system diagnostics is fast, it takes advantages of field containing knowledge when dealing with the fault which has complex knowledge structure, manifestation and staggering targeted, compromising between knowledge representation ability and reasoning complexity. Finally, elevator fault diagnosis and safety evaluation system has been developed and achieved as well has practical application and popularizing value.
