Based on engineering computations, a reliable aerodynamic calculation method which combined with theoretical research, empirical formulas and the experimental curves was established to calculate the aerodynamic forces of some new strake wing layout projectiles and rockets weapons. A program was compiled with the method. The program can calculate and analysis not only the aerodynamic forces of the aerodynamic forces of conventional projectiles and rockets weapons but also some new strake wing layout projectiles and rockets weapons, and to provide reliable references to preliminary design of projectiles and rockets.Summarized systematically the theoretical and empirical algorithm of the engineering computations of aerodynamic characteristics of projectiles and rockets. Developed a program which can be used in estimating aerodynamic characteristics of projectiles and rockets. The program used a lot of experimental curves in the literatures to simple calculation and get accurate results. The program was used to calculate the single projectile, wing-body combination and wing-body-tail combination, and the results were compared with DATCOM and experimental results. The program was proved to be reliable and the results meet the accuracy requirement of preliminary design stage. The program was a effective mean to calculate aerodynamic characteristics of projectiles and rockets.The program used Polhamus suction analogy method to calculate aerodynamic characteristics of new strake wing layout projectiles and rockets weapons. The program was used to calculate and analysis the aerodynamic characteristics of models of strake wing layout projectiles and rockets weapons. The results show that the lift coefficients of strake wing layout projectiles and rockets weapons are great upgraded. The presence of strake wing increased the lift drag ratio of projectiles and rockets, and improved the aerodynamic characteristics of projectiles and rockets. |
