The structure of the switched reluctance motor is simple and sturdy. For speed performance, it combines the advantages of AC variable speed system and DC speed control system; it is of high efficiency and considered by experts as a milestone in the development of electric drive systems. But compared with other kinds of speed control systems, its capacity volume ratio is slightly lower. As the rare earth permanent magnet materials are increasingly used in the motor design, permanent magnetic materials are used to change the structure of the switched reluctance motor. It has become one of the current research focuses to improve its performance.Based on analysis on the new structure of the switched reluctance motor both at home and abroad, This paper proposes a new type of permanent magnet switch reluctance motor, analysis its structure and principle of the motor, explores its governor, applies the fuzzy to speed control system, designs the hardware and software of the speed control system, and tests prototype at last. The text is divided into seven parts. First it reviewed the development status and main characteristics of the switched reluctance motor and hybrid excitation of the motor. Besides, it discussed the existing problems and introduced briefly the development of motor speed control, and analyzed future research directions. Second it described the structure and the operating principle of new permanent magnet switched reluctance Moto. While the linear mathematical model is derived, it made a magnetic circuit simulation, making a mathematical basis for later work. The third part describes the composition of the speed control system and speed control method. Fuzzy control was applied and it simulated the speed control system. Then the speed control system hardware was designed with the main control selection of TMS320F2812. it made details of the hardware circuit. It had Written C language program designed hardware circuit of the whole system in order to achieve its control function. Finally, prototype was debugged with the software and hardware and results were presented to verify the performance of the system. In this paper the design could meet the design requirements and achieve the intended function; it is the conclusion and outlook in the end.
