Urban metro is increasingly becoming an important aspect of developing and utilizing urban underground space and its construction has received attention from various nations. Owing to large capacity, fast, safe, convenient, less pollution, not affecting the ground transportation and many other advantages, urban metro has gradually got important ways and means to solve the problem of urban traffic jam.Through a vast array of data, the paper sorted out basic material of constructing large cross shallow covered metro stations, including station structure, span, height and depth etc; summarize main structure forms of large cross shallow covered metro stations, they are:single arch and free column stations; multi-column, multi-arch and single-layer stations; multi-column, multi-arch and two-layer stations. Then discourse critical and controllable technologies of the corresponding construction methods of different structure forms, including PBA method,side-hole method,middle-hole method, pile-hole method, two sides hole method,CRD method. Introduce theory system of adaptive evaluation of large cross and shallow covered metro stations, through contrastive analysis of numerical simulation and measured data, clear the relative emphasis among the various construction methods for the surface environment, pipeline conditions, soil conditions, construction conditions, project cost and other factors. Obtain the best construction method of different structure forms for large cross and shallow covered metro stations by using PHA, PBA method is more appropriate for single arch and free column stations; pile-hole method is more appropriate for single arch and free column stations; PBA method is more appropriate for single arch and free column stations.
