Anji is rich in hydropower resources. The small-sized hydropower stations work mainly depending on the climates. Most of them are runoff stations with small installed capacity and obsolete equipment. During the rainy season, T.O.D. can not be stringently controlled that obviously affected the Power Plant.In this paper, the operation of small hydropower systems current situation, summed up the operational characteristics of small hydropower units, described the rich power of the main problems of small hydropower stations, while in the city grid, based on research, analysis of the existing city grid voltage problem, reactive power issues, monitoring problems, and other major issues. Based on the above the main city grid, this paper considerations from the grid, through the installation of some equipment for its current and voltage control and regulation; from power considerations, small hydropower stations under the conditions of existing equipment, its stations some of the equipment and its grid lines to make adjustments to address the complexity of a city rich in small hydroelectric power grid problems. Reactive power compensation based on small hydropower needs, the deployment of the network equipment selection and control design, combined with the actual power of the situation, the dynamic reactive power compensation in the small hydro power system described in detail, such as low voltage without CSAV power automatic compensation device, PLC reactive power compensation in distribution when used in the system hardware and software design.
