In recent years, the rapid development of rail transportation, motorcycle as the bearer of the direct carrier of passengers, the safety of life and property is directly and closely related. As a part of rotating machinery, rolling bearing is widely used in railway sector. According to statistics, most of the railway rotating machinery faults is caused by bearing failure which is impacted by the railway machine's working condition. Once the bearing's fault, it caused heavy economic loss, the study of the railway rolling bearings condition monitoring and fault diagnosis is essential. With the rail transit vehicles increased complexity of the equipment, the failure rate corresponding rise in rail rolling is the most widely used vehicle in a common mechanical components, then the course of its operation for efficient, rapid and accurate diagnosis is worthy of study an important issue.This article summarizes the current serious fault diagnosis technology world, the development of rail transport situation, summarizes and analyzes the occurrence of bearing failure and to identify failure patterns and characteristics. Based on the above needs analysis, we use wavelet, wavelet packet, wavelet neural network method for fault diagnosis of bearing rail transit vehicles were diagnosed, the first bearing on the collected vibration signal denoising, again after denoising signal wavelet packet transform, and the transformed signal extraction feature vectors, and their input to the neural network for fault diagnosis.The results show that:the wavelet packet analysis, can identify the characteristics of rolling bearing faults, indicating that the fault feature extraction method is effective; using wavelet packet and neural network fault diagnosis of rolling bearings, can identify the fault feature.This method also applies to bearings and other rotating machinery fault diagnosis. To ensure the safety of locomotive operation, rail traffic on the fast running and development of good protection and more good practicality.
