This paper investigates and studies the development of reliability technology of equipment at home and abroad and the advantages and disadvantages of various methods of reliability analysis. Based on the usage of ozone disinfector in laboratory; it is carried on reliability analysis and design. This paper consists of six parts, as follow:(1) The domestic and foreign development status of reliability technology is investigated, and the domestic and foreign development status and application fields of ozone disinfector are analyzed.(2) Through reliability analysis of ozone disinfector by fault tree, we know that the main reasons which lead to the faults of ozone disinfector are high frequency switching power supply, AC regulated power supply, heat dissipation and EMC. They are also important links which influence the reliability of equipment.(3) The basic structure and principle of ozone disinfector is introduced. TN-S power supply mode is used in the power grid. AC regulated power provides power to the power unit of discharge tube inside equipment and the refrigeration unit. High frequency switching power supplies power to the measurement & control unit and the driving circuit of MOSFET.(4) The control sections of quasi-resonant flyback switching power and electrokinetic's self-coupled AC regulated power are designed based on NCP-1207.(5) According to the EMI problem of ozone disinfector, the grounding problems of the shell and internal components of the ozone disinfector are mainly designed. Shield grounding is used to the shell of equipment, suspended grounding is used to the discharge tube and independent grounding is used to the measurement & control unit and the driving circuit of MOSFET and also circuit breaker. The problem of heat dissipation is discussed and a design of the crate is given to solve the problem.According to the practices, the reliability analysis and design of ozone disinfector is successful, it keeps the ozone disinfector safety, stable and efficient.
