At present, concrete, metal, rock and other materials have been studied comparatively thoroughly by domestic and foreign scholars, For a long history, extensive use of masonry materials have great significance, which some scholars have also studied,is an important goals of the design theory.This article is based on the characteristics of masonry materials and the related theory of knowledge (mechanics of composite materials, the classical strength theory, etc.), that is used the computer software to study the failure criteria of masonry from three levels of analysis and research. The main contents include:1 Based the perspective of the force form and under the different static loads, failure criterion of masonry is summarized ,analyzed and reviewed about the advantages and disadvantages of various criteria .The different characteristics of masonry components is analysed by existed dynamic failure criteria of reinforced concrete structures. Combined with masonry damage of the 5.12 earthquake example, all members of the criteria is gotten.Lastly, at home and abroad ,several failure criteria of seismic structure is concluded by this paper, which includ the level of seismic, vertical seismic action , the seismic action reversed and the actual earthquake damage criteria based on performance, surely,the advantages and disadvantages and suitability of each criterion is explained ,also reasonable analysis of masonry structures is applied by this paper.2 From a macro perspective, the corresponding failure criteria based on the strength of orthotropic body theory is summarized by this article .Guidelines for the experimental data to compare the various studies, has been used for the destruction of masonry guidelines.3 Borrowed mechanics of composite materials, the micro model of masonry is established and based on masonry microscopic model assumptions, respectively analysis of the mortar, block, and the failure mechanism of interfaces , and the impact of this effect among the three composite material effect in the mixed volume formula, are linked to several damage criterias controlled by block-based masonry.Reviewed the control and failure criteria matrix and combined with the interface failure criterion, the article has been writed with the micro-composite masonry-type failure criteria, and the criteria comparaed the shear pressure experimental data of domestic Luowan Kang, that verifyed the validity of the guidelines.4 Finally, borrowed a homogeneous technology, a homogeneous model of the masonry is established. Useing the ANSYS finite element analysis, the masonry is simulated in the X, Y, Z each state to the uniaxial compression, that is gotten by all the stress-strain curves in uniaxial compression and combined with the macro-level under the Drucker-Prager yield criterion, the stress and strain is changed to the first stress invariant and the second deviatoric invariant expression. The intensity of the equivalent failure envelope is mapped, that is based on the assumption we know, the equivalent to the DP yield criterion of RVE can be defined as the failure criterion.
