Recently, China has invested considerable human, financial and material resources in building energy efficiency, which has achieved certain results.The study of building energy efficiency mainly limited to building energy saving technologies, building energy efficiency policies, building energy saving materials and building energy efficiency standards, however, the reasons of energy defect which generated in the construction process lack of attention. In China, high-energy building in new buildings is still a large proportion; although the energy-saving buildings have received attention and promotion, the actual saving rate of energy-saving building do still not reach the design value after the completion. There are hollowing, cracks, leaks and other energy defects appear on the external wall insulation shortly after the completion of use, which seriously impact on the building's energy efficiency and aesthetics, mismanagement and control lax in the Energy efficient building construction process are one of the main cause of these conditions. If we can find out the constructive reasons leading to energy deficiencies and to control, so that energy saving rate close to the theoretical design values as much as possible, and avoiding the occurrence of the defect energy. The concrete research work of the thesis is as follows:(1)To briefly introduce the basic structure and the technical characteristics of the external wall insulation systems; to describe the basic requirements and several commonly used forms of the external wall insulation systems.(2)Using ANSYSl0.0 analysis software to simulate the stress, strain and temperature of the polystyrene plastered external wall insulation system, it illustrates the reasons of exterior insulation system producing cracking, loss and leakage. For the maximum stress, this article analysis the effects of the thermal conductivity, thickness and elastic modulus of polystyrene board, adhesive mortar, Cracking mortar and tile cement mortar by using the finite element.(3)On the basis of summarizing the relevant literature and interviewing construction-related echnical personnel, this article summarizes constructive reasons of the common defects in Exterior insulation.It finds the main reason by applying the permutation method and puts forward corresponding technical measures(4)This article weightily analyzes the six reasons (materials, construction technology, project management, construction, environment, people, machinery and equipment) of exterior insulation on energy saving effect.(5)In the management of energy defect, this article establishes the management system of energy deficiencies on exterior insulation by applying the concepts and methods of the PDCA cycle and QC group in total quality management.(6) To apply the established the management system of energy deficiencies on exterior insulation to real world construction projects and conducts case studies, to analyze the system's feasibility and disadvantages, and to further proposesuggestions.The case study shows that the management system of energy deficiencies on exterior insulation is feasible; there is some effect for the control of cracks, defects and other energy defect.
