Construction and development of green low-carbon and harmonious society make the status of nuclear power increase rapidly in the international energy structure. The construction of Nuclear Power Station (NPS) has become a top topic all the world,which brings with a large civil engineering in the process of building NPS. It is important of construction security and permanent stability under high-level security requirements because of nuclear power particularly.The thesis relies on CA-CB-PX system tunnel engineering of under construction the first NPS of around Bohai Sea China–Hongyanhe NPS.Many factors are needed to consider in the tunnel design and construction process,among which the stability of the tunnel is the most important,it affects the security of tunne during construction and operation directly. However,Surrounding Rock Broken Zone (SRBZ) is an important factor for analysising tunnel stability. It has important guiding significance to evaluate the stability of surrounding rock with probing the thickness of SRBZ accurately and analysising mechanical characteristics of surrounding rock.Probing SRBZ and analysising mechanical characteristics under excavation and supporting are studied in the thesis, the main contents and conclusions are as follows:(1) Occurrence,development mechanism and range factors of SRBZ are analysised by consulting literature.Ground Penetrating Radar(GPR)is choosed to probe SRBZ compared to methods of probing SRBZ,and create identification method of wave phase based on GPR.(2) Different sections of surrounding rock are probed by using GPR for CA-CB-PX system tunnel engineering,the thickness vaules of SRBZ are counted,while by the traditional ultrasonic testing technology, and approve the results of GPR. Important reference is provided by thickness vaules of SRBZ for the optimal design.(3) Mechanical characteristics are analysised for Surrounding rock Excavated and supported under different landforms and layers by Phase2D of Finite element software. Meanwhile,treatment measures of grouting consolidation are puted forward for the tunnel through the dense joints,and treatment effect is good.(4) The data of monitoring measurement with different surrounding rock is processed and analysised. corresponding deformation discipline are obtained. The results is feedbacked design optimization and guide to construction. Comprehensive the thickness vaules of SRBZ,the results of numerical simulation and the results of monitor and measure show that the tunnel surrounding rock of CA-CB-PX system tunnel is stability,the design parameters are reliable,the methods of construction are reasonable.The results of the thesis developing research of probing SRBZ and mechanical characteristics have guided the estimative engineering , and provides reference experiences for similar projects construction.
