With the continuous application of ergonomic in product design, the later supportability and maintainability should be taken into consideration at the start of designing new products. So at the background of virtual environment, ergonomics analysis should be carried out through making virtual human support and maintain virtual prototype in order to evaluate the maintainability in the process of product design. It includes maintainability analysis, fatigue analysis, physical strength analysis, work time analysis and so on. Maintainability analysis mainly includes vision, space and physical accessibility analysis. Fatigue analysis mostly analyzes the energy consumption of human body under specific support tasks and confirms the time-out. Physical strength analysis mainly implements force analysis aiming at strenuous movements in a short time or obvious movements, and then improves the operation ways according to the results.Human movement is studied in this paper. And a method based on the decomposition of human movements is formed. The advantages of therblig concept and Modular Arrangement of Predetermined Time Standard (MODAPTS) are combined to calculate the working time of the virtual humans. Through the study of ergonomics, the method of confirming virtual humans' energy consumption is established. Simulation is carried out using DELMIA software to analyze the supportability and maintainability. The main contents are as follows:According to the characteristics of support tasks for the aircraft refueling, the simulation thought of "task subsection, movement stratification" is proposed. When the task is subdivided, the specific tasks are designed hierarchically according to the characteristics of each stage. From top to bottom, they are the support task layer, the movement decomposition layer, and therblig layer in common sense, respectively.Based on the thought of "task subsection, movement stratification", the working time is calculated by combining the advantages of MODAPTS in movement time values with the lifelikeness and particularity of therblig.The virtual environment is designed adopting DELMIA software. And the models of virtual prototypes, virtual humans and tools are built. After the support task of aircraft refueling is simulated, ergonomics analysis is conducted. By means of studying the fatigue process and energy loss, the approach of calculating human body's energy loss is established. At the same time, the time-out and labor intensity index under this energy loss are calculated.
