| Patrol crafts are ships which operate in China offshore environment and have main task of coastal defencel. These crafts are required to be equipped with helo hangar or helicopter hovering platform.as to combine ship's long sailing distance with advantages of the helicopter's fast characteristic.The acceptable operating range is from Sea Stage 6 to 8 in which the ship can perform the task and safe navigation. The performance of high speed and good seakeeping, endurance and adequate holding force are all important.The trimaran ship is one kind of new concept ships with a slender center hull and two outer hulls which are connected through crossing decks.It's proved better overall sailing performance.At present, Trimaran Ships for military and civilian application prospects are stepping up research and development of high performance ships all over the world. The representative countries are United Kingdom, United States and Australia. In 90s of 20th century,China started trimaran basic research in hydrodynamic aspects mainly. But there is no construction of the trimaran ship happened practically.Based on previous studies in this paper,a 1000-ton trimaran patrol craft is taken as concept design object.The main work is as follows:1. The concept exploration and research which focuses on trimaran critical systems selection,principal dimention determination and forms demonstration,including monohull,catamaran and trimaran forms.The core is the ship's mission,operation waters and main technical indicators analysis.2. General arrangement which determines ship's overall layout, weight center, tanks and cabins layout and deck equipments based on conventional vessels methods.3. Overall performance analysis.The main study is about the trimaran's wave resistance calculation, intact stability and roll performance analysis.4. Structural preliminary design.Study trimaran's structural and mechanics characteristics,determine typical cross sections and complete wave loads calculations and total strength checking baesd on Rules for the Classification of Trimarans.5. Ship technical scheme design. Summarizes the concept craft design process,and present the final ship characteristics in the form of technical scheme book.In this context, this paper completes a relative fully comprehensive exploration on one concept trimaran patrol craft and gives the technical final scheme book.lt has some theory values to trimarans total ship design. |
