Fiber optic gyroscope(FOG) is one of important technology in the field of optical sensing. Compared to the classical mechanics and laser gyro gyroscope, because of its advantages FOG has become one of the main instrument in inertial technology, and has the trend of to replace the mechanics gyroscopes and laser gyro. With the practicalities of (FOG), it is found that environmental vibration and shock will make signal noise of the FOG increace and cause FOG drift. Therefore, in order to suppress the vibration error of FOG and improve the ability to adapt environment, the vibration characteristics of FOG must be to study. Based on the "FOG AHRS" project, from the influence caused by vibration on the optical part of the FOG, study the mechanism of FOG vibration error, and proposed technology programs to suppress the vibration error. Main tasks are as follows:1,A detailed analysis on the basic principles of fiber optic gyroscope was given. Based on the treatise of the light way in the reciprocity requirements, the choice of the fiber and the method of fiber optic ring winding was discussed; analysis the manifestation of the FOG' interference signals, and compared the modulate and demodulate methods that commonly used, take the four state modulate and demodulate program which used in this article as the key point, conducted a detailed study, the derivation of the principle that to inhibit Y waveguide half-wave voltage drift was carride out.2,The basic principles of the interference digital closed-loop fiber optic gyroscope were discussed in detail, aim at the vibration sensitivity of fiber optic gyroscope, studied the mechanism of elastic-optic effect and the change of refractive index caused by vibration, study and derivation the expression form of vibration error signal in the FOG's output signal in-depth. Establish mathematical model between the vibration error signal,search the method that for inhibiting the vibration error.3,Study the light path reciprocity of FOG in-depth. Research the quadrupole symmetry winding program of fiber ring winding, look for perfect optical reciprocity method to improve optical path reciprocity. Through research and analysis of the structure of FOG package, pigtail handling and solid plastic on the impact of fiber optic gyroscope, and then suggest proposal to improve the FOG performance.4,Based on the above, according to the relevant standards, design vibration test experiment, execute vibration tests before and after the improvement of fiber optic gyroscope prototype, and analyzed test data to check up the performance of the improved fiber optic gyroscope.
