The Research On Expressive Force Of Natural Rattan

in the thesis,the nature rattan cane was used as the research object, based on the research of the comprehensive attribute,combineding with the excellent achievement of Domestic and Overseas。the Design Characteristic of the nature rattan cane was researched from the form of color,texture, form construction and process construction。Starting with the relationship between materials and design, referring to theoretical knowledge related to the design, the concept of materials'designing expressive ability was defined; Moreover, materials was understood from the persceptive of design, that is, when its natural attributes and processing properties were applied in design, materials would exhibit its internal properties with unique effects.The shape of line often appears in the natural rattan, and it can present some fundamental constituent forms like point, plane, and solid, etc, after simple technique processing of knitting, weaving, wrapping, binding and tie, and it also can be assembled into beautiful and various design patterns. According to the visual feature and metal characteristic analysis on the original color of rattan, it can be found that most rattan color display the characteristic of friendliness, warmness, legerity, softness and peacefulness, making people feel fresh and clean, lively, light and natural. If fixation processing is not finished, the color of rattan will be darkened gradually with time changes. The coloration and painting of rattan gives rattan artificial color:The coloration causes different color of rattan, but often not well distributed, and natural and simple effect can be shown by plenty of colors. Abundant color features can also be presented after painting processing. The bleach processing makes rattan show fresh and clean color effect. The texture characteristic of natural rattan is that the rattan is nodular and such rattan gives people ancient and simple impression. The rattan peel is smooth and lucidus but the surface of rattan core after peeling is smooth but lackluster, and thus rattan with natural nodositas can gives people a feeling of natural decoration. Weaving finally can flourish the texture effect of products, and it can be divided into regular and irregular weaving. It can present regular texture, naturally rough texture, cancavo and convex texture, regular and decorated weaving texture, irregular free texture by weaving processing.The expressive force of natural rattan technique is the appearance caused by special technique processing when the rattan is designed, such as weaving, joining, tie, binding and wrapping, which will represent unique beauty of technique and strong feeling of handicrafts.
