The study of the power communications equipment inspection system is based on the original methods, by introducing the RFID tag technology, with the scientific management of the power communications equipment inspection. The purpose of the study is to achieve a paperless way to reduce the inspection cumbersome way and improve the work efficiency. RFID tags and the data terminal is an important part of the inspection systems. In the paper which is based on the key technologies of the RFID tag, the electric power communications equipment inspection is conducted in-depth research and the capabilities is analyzed, the hardware and the software design is implemented.The main research work in this paper is:First, on the base of the RFID technology the inspection system structure is designed to make the overall program modular. And then the hardware research and implement of the RFID tag which is using in the substation communications room environment and outdoor fiber optic cable line is accomplished. Data terminal through the IAR Embedded systems hardware and software platform developed for basic data, basic information about equipment, maintenance processes and information content.Finally, by debugging the overall inspection system, the testing results show that the power communications equipment inspection system is able to identify the RFID tag data acquisition correctly; transmit the data fast and accurately, the date can be managed standard and efficiently.
