The hydraulic reciprocating pump has so more advantages than traditional mechanical reciprocating pump, so it becomes one of the worthful topic that the hydraulic reciprocating pump is researched and developed. First of all, the development course and the research status of hydraulic reciprocating pump have been reviewed in the paper, then, several problems existed in the process of the hydraulic reciprocating pump research which must be solved in time have been definited, that is, the problem of direction-change-impact and the stability of flow rate and pressure of the total pump. Therefore, a new rotary valve has been designed for controlling this system and solved the problems above perfectly.This paper adopts theory, design, mathematical analysis and computer simulation combining research methods, namely, on the basis of deeply study of the rotary valve working principle and characteristics, a rotary valve has been designed which can make the flow rate linearly. Then, through calculation, a model and simulation model of hydraulic triplex reciprocating pump system which based on the control of rotary valve and supplied by dual hydraulic station have been established. Through verification, this turn valve can completely meet the design requirements.The concrete content includes:(1) Analysis for the structure and the principle of the rotary valve systematically, then, reaching a conclusion theoretically that rotary valve can realize the reciprocating motion of hydraulic reciprocating pump piston (or plunger) according the phase that is set by rotary valve. (2) Through the theoretical analysis and calculation, the relationship can be obtained between the valve core and valve cover orifice, and the equation of the maximum flow rate in theory between the valve core and valve cover orifice, when the piston can reach the two pole; and the relationship of stability among the valve core and valve cover orifice and superposition flow rate through analysis, and the relationship of the continuous motion of the hydraulic cylinder piston. (3) Through the theory study of hydraulic on triplex reciprocating pump valve cotrolled by rotary valve, the corresponding relationship of the instantaneous flow rate between the flow through pump valve and the flow through the eductin or suction from the liquid cylinder, and a theoretical foundation for the model of pump valve has been established. (4) Through the calculation of key components and deeply study for AMESim simulation platform, a simulation model for hydraulic triplex pump has been established, which based on the control of rotary valve and supplied by dual hydraulic station, and a simulation model for four and six cylinders have been set up which cotrolled by rotary valve. The experience has been accumulated for the research of hydraulic reciprocating pump based on AMESim through the foundation of the series of simulation models. (5) Aimed at different number of cylinders, and through the contrast analysis of the simulation results, a feasibility would be vertified, which the rotary valve can solve the problem,for example, the direction-impact and fluctuations of flow rate and pressure etc. which exist in hydraulic reciprocating system. This result is consistent with the theoretical analysis, which in turn proof the model and simulation results is reliable.Corresponding hydraulic cylinders selected by advance and the given piston stroke, and adjusting the flowing area and hydraulic station pressure repeatedly, an ideal flow rate and pressure curve of the total pump would be determined finally, then the best orifice of the valve corresponding the hydraulic cylinder would be determined. A reference will be provided for the manufacture of the rotary valve through this method. The adaptive ability of phase of the rotary valve can be vertified by the means of simulation which the initial position of the hydraulic cylinders are put in the arbitrary position.
