Trimaran, as a new type of high performance vessels, has many advantages, especially in the warships. It is one of the international hot types which are designed and researched, and has a wide range of needs and good development prospects.In recent years, countries such as Britain, the United States and Australia place great emphasis on performance advantages of the trimaran, and plan to use it as "the next generation ship type". They all increase the intensity of the research.Although research on the trimaran has been widely expanded at home and abroad, which focused on the study on hydrodynamic and ship types, especially the wave-making resistance and side body layout and seakeeping performance, there is little research on vibration, only a limited number of documents did a brief calculation of overall vibration. While vibration is an important performance of the trimaran, there is an urgent need for the research of vibration. This direction of the research is of great academic theory significance and engineering application value.When calculating the total vibration of hull, one-dimensional finite element method is convenient, and is accurate for the low order natural frequencies. But when calculating higher order frequencies, this method has big difference on the results with the three-dimensional method's. Moreover, the order is higher, the method is less accurate. Although the Three-dimensional finite element method is more accurate, the workload is very large and it needs to have some conditions. So in this article three-beam model is used to simplify the structure of the trimaran, then transfer matrix method is utilized. At last, programming language is compiled. To confirm the way in this article, which adopt three-beam model to calculation the total vibration of the trimaran, is of validity and reliability, the results obtained by this program is compared with the results calculated by the model established by the finite element calculation software Ansys. And the error is only about 0.3Hz.
