The acoustic signal simulator based on ARM comes from a certain underwater measuring system, and is applied for simulating real target to emit underwater acoustic signals when the system is tested in the lake or the sea. The essay states from the design of both the hardware and software of the acoustic signal simulator.From the system requirements of the hardware the essay discusses the design indexes, and then gives out the hardware platform composed by driving signal generator using ARM as core processor power amplifying circuit and GPS receiving circuit. The essay makes a detailed description of each design, including the model selection of the core processor related interface circuit design and the power design of the system.The essay adopts the embedded Linux operating system as the software platform of the system, and structures the embedded developing environment. The programming design of ARM bases on this software platform, separately carries on the device driving program and applying program under Linux environment. The essay lies emphasis on the D/A driving program design based on IIS bus. Besides, it also makes explanations on the logic program of CPLD and PC controlling.The acoustic signal simulator cooperated with the measuring system and completed the experiments in the lake and the sea. By the contrasts of the original signals received from the buoys and the designing signals, it proves that the acoustic signal simulator is capable to simulate the beaming acoustic signals emitted by underwater moving targets.
