Compared with other types of dredger, the dustpan dredger has many advantages,such as broad dig groove, flat groove,high concentration mud, well applicability etc.Contrasted to other types of dredger,the main differences of dustpan dredger are the dustpan types and the ways of soil-breaking. The dustpan dredger relies on the impact of high-pressure water jet to break the soil,while other dredgers mainly rely on conventional mechanical action. At present,domestic researches on the type of the dustpan are rarely. The dustpan is built mainly by counterfeiting foreign dustpan type, lacking theoretical guidance.This paper bases on the project of Heixiazi island waterway dredging and analyzes the characteristics of dustpan. And the main contents include put forward the basic principles of the dustpan design from the theory of solidmaterial hydraulic transmission, exploring the selection of the dustpan mouth shape and the advantages of multi-body dustpan type, analysing the interactions of multiple water jet and the role of grid on the dustpan mouth, analysing the effects of mud concentration and particle size on sucking efficiency and dustpan mouth velocity distribution through numerical simulation,the research of high-pressure water jet system.With the rapid development of computer performance and computer fluid dynamics, numerical simulation has become an indispensable way in analyzing its inner flow field. Numerical simulation can largely cut down the work load of testing, moreover, it can help pre-estimate the immeasurable data in testing so as to contract work hours and improve the reliability as well as the economical efficiency. The 3-D models of dustpan and high-pressure water jet system in the thesis is builded with the help of the software Pro/E and divides the mesh with the help of the software GAMBIT,and getting the constructed models directed into the software FLUENT for the calculation.Research in this thesis mainly draws the following conclusions:(1) Flat square mouth type of dusupant has many advantages,and should be the preferential plan. Multi-body dustpan type has a significant performance on increasing the dredging width and preventing the sedimentation of sand. (2)Mud particle size has little effect on sucking efficiency of dusupant; When mud concentration increased, the velocity of outlet will decrease.And,to keep the rated flow,the mud pump pressure must be increased. (3) A highter velocity area centering around the outlet,was formed in the flat of inlet. If each monomer of dustpan was close to the centerline of dustpan,the dredging efficiency will be better.(4) Compared with the lateral inflow type, direct inflow type is more advantageous to the jet effect.And the cone-straight jet nozzle is the most effective in the three types of jet nozzle.
