The shaker feeder is widely used in fields of mining and metallurgy. The improvement of stability and efficiency of shaker feeder is of significant to effectiveness of mining feeder system. Nowadays, shaker feeder is on the way to high accuracy and efficiency. In the process of production practice, shaker feeder tends to damage in terms of damping spring, hanging metal pieces and electrical machinery. Therefore, we need to do dynamic analysis on shaker feeder and find the reason to further improve it.This paper aims to improve the stability and dynamic characteristics of self-synchronizing shaker feeder based on practical production condition in mineral processing plant of Panzhihua Iron and Steel Group Co., Ltd. The feed trough and damping spring system of self-synchronizing shaker feeder GZG2006 are analyzed.ANSYS software is applied in this paper. Before analysis, dynamic finite element model of several parts and the whole system of self-synchronizing shaker feeder GZG2006 are established.Firstly, three-dimensional modeling software UG is applied to three-dimensional solid modeling of feeder system. After that, mesh module of finite element analysis software is used to generate finite element model for convenience of following calculating.Secondly, Block Lanczos is chosen to calculate finite element model of self-synchronizing shaker feeder. Former 20 stages of natural frequency and vibration model is obtained. Through analysis, coupled vibration condition of shaker feeder is known clearly.Thirdly, based on the modal analysis, harmonic analysis of shaker feeder is applied by ANSYS software. Dynamic amplitude-frequency response curve could be obtained through harmonic response analysis. The result is that shaker feeder will have resonance at the point of 8Hz,12Hz and 20Hz.At last, transient analysis of shaker feeder in different working condition is applied, mainly in terms of status of no-holding, and the sling movement. Stress curve of key nodes, displacement response curve, modal maps, displacement maps and stress diagram of shaker feeder in key time are obtained, which provides a specific understanding of various parameters of shaker feeder in kinds of working conditions.
