As China's economic development, energy consumption increased year by year, building energy consumption has be to an important energy component. On reducing energy consumption, domestic and foreign scholars have done a lot of research, most of previous studies on a single device is to study the energy efficiency of room for improvement is not high, but not very clear environmental benefits.The research brings forward a solar-assisted air-conditioner with water heater by solar water heater and heat pump air-conditioner combined. The system was designed for providing three functions mode: Refrigeration; Water Heater; Refrigeration with Water heater. The system include a indoor heat exchanger, a outdoor heat exchanger, a desuperheater, a solar water heater. Some experimental study were accomplished at 3 modes to analyse the thermodynamic property on the standard condition, The result show the system is more effective than traditional single systems, the top COP is about 5.34 at cooling mode , is 5.78 at static heating mode of heating, and is 4.5 at cooling-heating mode. In addition, based on the typical full-year climate data of Guang Zhou, a simulation was taken on the hot water supply and operation of the system all over the year. The result show the system has best efficiency and practical applicability. The system have energy-saving advantages and good environmental effects in the southern region which have abundant Solar energy resources.This paper also analyzed the economy of the solar-assisted air-conditioner with water heater, the system has lowest depletion value of resources, proved the system has outstanding economic advantages, compared with single air-conditioning systems and hot water system by the method of comprehensive evaluation of energy. In a word, the system is very suitable for using in domestic condition and business field which need hot water and air conditioning.
