Condensation water,as an ecological factor,plays an important role in the process of plant growth.Also,condensation water canserve as an important source of moisture for some insets,small animals and biological crusts that can contribute to the stabilization of sand dunes in arid region.Dew condensed in leavies can be directly adsorbe d by plant.In this paper, by analysing the obtained data of condensation water (sampling from May to August in 2010) at Nanshan in Urumqi, we discuss the necessary conditions and time occurring the condensation water, the main influence factor forming the condensation water, the condensation water under the accumulated snow circumstances, thamount of the condensationwater and its variation, and the eco-environmental significance of the condensation water are all analyzed and discussed·The research achievements have great significance to recognize the formation mechanism of the condensation water and the eco-environmental benefit of the condensation watein the arid areas, Northwestern China·The main conclusions are:(1) The surface temperature reaches the dew point, the surface humidity of the air saturated water vapor is condensed water of the necessary conditions. Condensation of water occurs mainly in the period from 20:00 to 8:00 the next day, of which the largest amount 6:00-7:00 condensation, condensation does not occur during the day. Initial speculation by weather conditions, most of the year at Nanshan district exists the possibility of condensate produced.(2)Condensation water generally appear in late April to early 5-September 10, the frequency is higher. Shan Bai Yanggou summer (June-August) are the condensation level of 8.3 days; spring (May) for 9 days.(3) Shan Bai Yanggou condensation region the amount of condensate ranged from 50.5ml-53.7ml, the different description of the amount of dew condensation in the growing season, the air absolute humidity, day and night temperature difference is the impact of changes in the amount of condensation water main condensation Control factor.(4) Bai Yanggou Nanshan district, even though the actual condensate evaporation condensation accounts for the ratio is not large, but the rainfall is much higher than normal precipitation in the effectiveness of it as a steady source of water, it The formation of vegetation in arid areas to maintain ecosystem stability. According to the experimental data, that the condensate in the area of Nanshan is entirely feasible.(5) condensation of water to shallow-rooted drought-tolerant plants provide the minimum necessary for survival of the water conditions, it is shallow-rooted drought-resistant vegetation in desert areas important guarantee for survival. The existence of these vegetation, wind and sand to some extent play a role in preventing or slowing the onset and development of desertification, which is condensed water in arid areas the importance of ecological significance lies.
